Time has always posed challenges for those who work in the media industry. Such a complex field has a great number of interrelated components – from social change to revolutionary advances in technology.
We suggest taking a look at social processes in a much broader way by studying journalism, media management, directing, editing, the stages of the creative process, and the production cycle of creating a media product – simply put, everything that can be called journalism, media, and communications.

Dima Ermuzevich is a successful photographer, blogger and resident of the Didenok Team agency (a partner of the Higher School of Economics). He has started to share his worldview in the blog from an early age. Having his own unique style, he succeeded to transform it into a prosperous business. Now Ermuzevich not only cooperates with influencers and famous people, but also actively motivates his followers to develop in art and to monetize what they do. Today Dima has 112 thousand subscribers on VK and 914 thousand on YouTube.
«The most common limitation that interferes with making money is your job, but besides that there is also something you love to do», — the idea that was the basis of his speech. Dima emphasized that you need to break down the barriers in your head to be successful, for instance, the fear of trying new things and following your passion. He gave an example of Joanne Rowling who found her publisher after 12 refusals and finally gave «Harry Potter» to the world.
An important topic of the speech was the role of trends in creative development. The speaker explained that making relevant creative works is not just copying trends, but being able to see tendencies and express yourself through them. He encouraged students to develop their visual perception and suggested an exercise: to take a device and choose three bloggers that inspire you the most. That exercise helps the audience to understand what styles and ideas resonate with them. Also he recommended to use new technologies like neural networks, which help to find interesting concepts.
At the end of the meeting the blogger answered some questions from students about how to find your vocation, how to blog and attract an audience without burnout and losing motivation. He emphasized that successful blogging requires constant moving and searching for something new. The main thing is not to be scared to change and develop your style.

Of course, it is a really special moment for me. I have been following Dima and his social networks for a long time. His photographs and songs have always fascinated and inspired me. This is an amazing feeling to be here and see him in real life. By the way, I have my own blog, but it is thriving with varying success. This hobby turned out to be more difficult than I expected: you need to work hard, inspire yourself and be able to convey your thoughts. But it is people like Dima who inspire me to go on and develop.

I am interested in everything related to the media. Moreover, I am fond of photography, and Dima’s style inspires me. I think, media sphere is huge, so you can fulfill yourself, especially in visuals. The idea of combining photography and design to create unique attractive projects always engaged me. I love Dima for his honesty, creativity and aesthetics. His works inspire me to look for my unique style.

I have been visiting such events for more than a year: I was at open days events, meetings of additional education in the Higher School of Economics and meetings with celebrities. But this meeting was special for me, because I have been following Dima on social media for more than five years. I have always been impressed by his sincerity and unique style. He has a special way of presenting himself: it is not just content, but a comprehensive figure that he creates. Dima manages to cope with constant attention and at the same time remain himself.
