Exploring the "Iconic Legacy" of Italian Music: A Creative Encounter of Institute of Media Students with Enzo Ghinazzi
In the 1980s, it was nearly impossible to find a resident of the former USSR who hadn't heard at least one song from the Italian pop scene. Hits like "Felicità," "L'Italiano," and "Mamma Maria" resonated from cassette players across the country, capturing the hearts of listeners of all ages. Concerts featuring Adriano Celentano, Ricchi e Poveri, and Toto Cutugno were a dream for many.

Quynh Pham Hoang Ngoc moved to Moscow from Vietnam four years ago to study the Russian-taught Bachelor's programme in Media Communication. Since arriving she has learned about what it’s like to build bridges between two completely different cultures.

International Perspective

On June 4, 2017, HSE is holding ‘The Whole World at HSE’ festival, dedicated to the cultures of different peoples. It’s a great opportunity for many international students to share information about their country’s culture and explain how Russian culture might be perceived by people with a different mentality. HSE international students and faculty have shared their views on both their and our respective cultures.
