Choosing a career path is one of the most important decisions in the life of every high school graduate. In an era where information is becoming the main resource and the media industry is rapidly developing, a quality education in media communications is becoming particularly valuable. But what makes this programme so successful? What opportunities does it open up for applicants, and what does the educational process look like through the eyes of students?

On November 5, the Museum of Cosmonautics in Moscow hosted an HSE-organised event entitled 'Cosmic Bodies: A Philosophical and Musical Party for Cyborgs'. The speakers and the audience reflected on popular-culture depictions of humans as they explore outer space.

HSE University graduates Victor and Victoria Kravchenko have created an animated blockbuster, ‘The Last Days of Trash’, which recently premiered on the 2x2 TV animation channel. The heroes of the series are three pieces of trash who dream of escaping from the tip.

HSE News Service has asked some of our teachers at HSE for any advice they might have for international students in Moscow. Arkaja Chakraverty and Renira Rampazzo Gambarato agreed to share their secrets. Ms Chakraverty, from India, is Assistant Professor at the International College of Economics and Finance and moved to Moscow in 2017. Dr Bambarato, from Brazil, is Assistant Professor at the Department of Media, Faculty of Communications, Media and Design and has been working at HSE since 2013.

Mikhail Berger, Professor at the Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design, and Sergey Karaganov, Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs have been awarded the Russian Federation Government Media Prize.
