About Us
Creativity is a driving force of the modern economy. Creative professionals make a significant contribution to strengthening national sovereignty and technological leadership. They shape Russia's contemporary image through visual arts, cinema, and media, while also building effective communication channels between the state and society.
The Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI) is the largest innovative educational centre for creative sectors. Under one unified brand, we consolidate key fields of study: advertising and public relations, communications, media, design, and film. Our team brings together top industry practitioners, experts, researchers, students, and postgraduates.
We equip our students to manage creative projects, develop innovative content, and shape emerging trends.
Educational Programmes
The faculty offers a wide range of educational opportunities: 17 undergraduate programmes, 21 master's programmes (three of which are available in an online format), and over 60 continuing education programmes. The faculty has two graduate schools: the Doctoral School of Arts and Design and the Doctoral School of Communications and Media. Prospective applicants can attend the Children's Design School, the Children's Film and Media School, the School of Communication for Youth, and creative winter and summer schools. The extensive selection of educational offerings allows each student to build an educational pathway that aligns with their career goals and professional development.

The Faculty of Creative Industries is a member of leading professional associations and organisations, collaborating with them on large-scale strategic projects. Students complete internships and develop creative products for major corporations and campaigns, while also serving as organisers and participants of key industry events.
FCI maintains strategic partnerships with market leaders such as RTR, Vedomosti, Rossiya Segodnya News Agency, Yandex, Kinopoisk, OZON, MTS, Rosatom, Plus Studio, VK, Alfa-Bank, RT, Gazprom, the Bolshoi Theatre, Russian Railways, Aeroflot, Gorky Film Studio, BBDO Group, Raiffeisenbank, Russian Post, Nornickel, and many other prominent organisations.
The Creative Community
The Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI) is HSE University’s largest creative community.
FCI students and alumni are laureates of national and international awards, including Dieline Awards, World Brand Design Society Awards, ADD AWARDS, ADCR Awards, Type Directors Club (TDC) Awards, the Znanie Society Prize, AKMR PR-Battle, the Luchnik Future National Student Competition, PROBA-IPRA GWA International Communications Awards, the Naslediye Youth Forum, and the Brand of the Year in Russia Youth Competition.
Our students and faculty actively participate in key creative industry events such as the Congress of Young Scientists, Russian Creative Week, Art Masters National Open Championship, Media Manager of Russia National Award, Moscow International Film Festival, Winter Open Russian Festival of Auteur Cinema, ARCH MOSCOW International Architecture and Design Forum, Non/Fiction Book Fair, SuzdalFest Open Russian Animated Film Festival, Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair, Short Shot Fest International Short Film Festival, Koroche Short Film Festival, AKMR Annual Conference, SILVER MERCURY Festival of Advertising and Marketing Communications, and many others.

Our Projects
Telling Stiries Fest
A large-scale urban festival of creative industries, founded in 2018. The festival brings together all kinds of people who work with ideas, images, and narratives through culture, design, media, and creativity. The programme includes lectures, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and music events.
LIME
An international festival of social advertising and communications that works closely with the non-profit sector. The themes of the works address socially significant issues. Established in 2010, the festival has become a leading expert platform in its field.
CREATIVE HUB
An urban space for discussions and research in the field of creative industries. The CREATIVE HUB programme includes business conferences and roundtables, masterclasses and workshops, TED and artist talks, open lectures and discussions, festivals, and video screenings. Each event incorporates research and project components, as well as an interdisciplinary approach.
ADVERTISEMENT CONSTRUCTOR
An all-Russian creative competition for schoolchildren and students. The competition aims to identify and support young talents and foster the development and realisation of their creative potential. The competition includes an extensive educational programme: intensives from industry leaders and project pitching before an expert jury.
