Lectures were given by Noël Leu, Felix Pfessli, Ivan Weiss and Michael Krayenbühl (of Jonson/Kingston studio), as well as the president of the Weltformat festival, Erich Brechbühl.
The exhibition, which takes place at the Artplay Design Centre, presents the XIV International Swiss Poster Festival Weltformat, which is held annually in Lucerne. The artists present trends in contemporary poster art and discuss the connection between art and society.
The event coincided with Moscow Design Week, which takes place this year on October 14-19. Egor Larichev, who is a famous designer, the exhibition supervisor and an HSE lecturer, put together an exposition that demonstrates the Swiss poster art school, as well as the work of famous poster artists such as Paul Bruhwiler, Tina Steineman, Melchior Imboden, Niklaus Troxler, and young-generation designers Noël Leu, Alice Kolb, Felix Pfessli, and others.
The exhibition’s organizers include Artplay Centre, HSE’s Faculty of Design, and the Russian office of Switzerland’s Council for Culture.
The Weltformat exhibition is open on October 14-19 at Artplay’s large exhibition hall.
