On July 8, students of the Bachelor's degree program "Journalism" and Master's degree programs: "Critical Media Studies", "Data Journalism", "Media Management in Mass Media", "International News Production", "Transmedia Production in Digital Industries," and "Film Production in a Multi-Platform Environment" celebrated the successful completion of their studies. On the next day, July 9, the Graduation Ceremony was held for the graduates of the Bachelor's degree program "Media Communications".

The Media Institute signed an agreement on an internship with the business newspaper "Vedomosti"
Starting this year, the Practice Center of the Media Institute of the National Research University Higher School of Economics offers its students the opportunity to undergo an internship at "Vedomosti" - the largest national publication that publishes news on politics, economics and finance. According to the terms of the agreement, the mandatory planned internship can be completed by 3rd year Bachelor's (summer), 4th year Bachelor's (winter), and 1st year Master's (summer) students, as well as by students of other courses at the Media Institute.

In the autumn of 2023, students of the Media Institute will have the opportunity to create a colour s upplement to one of the most famous business publications in our country as part of a creative workshop curated by the "Vedomosti" newspaper. Such a startup is a unique opportunity for future media industry specialists to go through the full cycle of print media creation, from concept to monetization, while being directly inside the production "kitchen".

From April 18 to April 21 the Ural Federal University in Yekaterinburg named after  the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin hosted the final of the ninth All-Russian television student competition 2023 of the Russian Television Academy Foundation. The HSE Media Institute students’ project “It’s on the Maps” became a finalist of the Student TEFI in the “Information Story” nomination, and its authors, together with university teams from all over the country, took part in the final events and the awards ceremony.
