The Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow, Russia hosted a study tour program from November 16th to 24th, 2023 for international master's enrollees of media-related programs. The tour offered two subjects in English - "Culture, Media and Research" from the Critical Media Studies education program and "Introduction to Alternative Media" from the Contemporary Journalism syllabus (the International News Production track). This allowed students to gain exposure to these topics through both online and in-person lectures and discussions.

Recently, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Tatyana Vasilyeva presented Alexander Milkus, a lecturer at the Media Institute and Head of the Project and Educational Laboratory of Media Communications in Education at the Faculty of Creative Industries of HSE, with a Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation "for many years of conscientious work and significant services in the field of education".

The Media Institute signed an agreement on an internship with the business newspaper "Vedomosti"
Starting this year, the Practice Center of the Media Institute of the National Research University Higher School of Economics offers its students the opportunity to undergo an internship at "Vedomosti" - the largest national publication that publishes news on politics, economics and finance. According to the terms of the agreement, the mandatory planned internship can be completed by 3rd year Bachelor's (summer), 4th year Bachelor's (winter), and 1st year Master's (summer) students, as well as by students of other courses at the Media Institute.
