HSE Faculty of Design: Pushkin Museum programme partner

The historical portion of the exhibition showcases a dozen pieces by famous artists and designers of the 19th century, including William Morris, William De Morgan, Christopher Dresser, Philip Webb, and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. All pieces come from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Because the British have regained leading positions in the design and technology industry, the exhibition will also feature contemporary works by Zaha Hadid, Davide Quayola, Tom Dixon, and others. Their experimental projects reflect key trends in the development of future design, and some of the designers themselves will make an appearance at the Pushkin Museum and give lectures.
Lecturers planning to speak in October include Sarah Angold, Julian Mayor, Assa Aschuach and Davide Quayola. In addition, Liam Hopkinsand designers from Barberosgerby Studio have promised to come to Moscow in November. There will also be a lecture by art expert and exhibition curator Alena Sokolnikova.
