Two HSE Projects, One Lecturer Win Eventiada Awards-2016

Rimma Pogodina, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design, became the best Teacher of the Year, and the ‘Communications School for Young People’ and ‘TeleHSE’ projects won prizes in the Best PR Project and Best Social Media Project categories at the 5th International Eventiada Awards.

The contest has been held since 2011 for communication projects implemented by corporations, public organizations, non-government organizations, as well as students. This year, the competition received over 800 applications from 124 cities in 6 countries, including Russia and other countries in Eastern Europe.

The Communications School for Young People project, implemented by the HSE School of Integrated Communications, took third place in the Best PR Project nomination for students. The School is for high school students who want to study advertising and PR at university. It offers schoolchildren the chance to discover what ‘communications’ means, what professions exist in this area, how to succeed in creative competitions, and so on. The tutors are Kristina Abramova and Yana Erofeeva, MA students on the Integrated Communications programme.

The TeleHSE project, a news and entertainment video channel from Ingroup StS, which broadcasts about university life, the main entertainment and educational events at HSE, took third place in the Best Social Media Project nomination for students.

Rimma Pogodina, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design, who teaches the undergraduate programme in Advertising and PR, was recognized as the Teacher of the Year.
