HSE Journalism Student Presents Study at Oxford Conference

This summer, Milena Rubleva, a fourth-year student of Journalism at HSE, presented a visualization of her study at the Connected Life 2016: Collective Action and the Internet Conference. She told the HSE News Service about the conference that was hosted by PhD students at the Oxford Internet Institute, which is part of the University of Oxford.

Fulbright Summer School on Public Scholarship to Take Place in Moscow

The HSE Faculty of Communications, Media and Design, together with MSU Department of Discourse and Communication Studies are organizing the 19th Fulbright International Summer School in the Humanities, which will take place from June 27 – July 1, 2016, in Moscow. We discussed the highlights of this summer school with Ekaterina Lapina-Kratasyuk, associate professor at the HSE School of Media and one of the Summer School organizers.

2015 Russia-Brazil Seminar 'Sporting Mega-events in Digital Media Connections'

The ojbective of the seminar was to discuss the results of the joint research project that was launched in 2013 and is dedicated to the sportive mega mediatic events such as FIFA World Cup (Brazil/2014) and the Winter Olympics Games (Russia/2014).

Challenges for Media Management in Russia: Newspapers in a Converged Environment

On April 6, 2015 a regular research seminar of Teacher-Student Team Research Project ‘Russian Regional Media Market’ took place at HSE.  Katja Lehtisaari, Postdoctoral Researcher  at Aleksanteri Institute (University of Helsinki, Finland) gave a lecture titled ‘Challenges for Media Management in Russia: Newspapers in a Converged Environment’. 

Nineteen HSE Students Visited Cologne School of Journalism

From November 15 to 23, 2014, 19 master’s students of the HSE Faculty of Communications, Media and Design School of Media, accompanied by lecturer Oxana Timofeeva, took part in an internship at the Cologne School of Journalism in Germany.
