First-year Advertising Students Practice Organizing a Conference
On the 28th January the VI international conference Raising Effectiveness in Social Advertising in Russia, ESARUSSIA-2015 was held at the Russian Public Chamber. Students from the HSE Faculty of Communications, Media and Design helped to organise it as a practical in their project seminar on Advertising and Public Communications. The students were entrusted with everything from writing press releases to finding sponsors.

Barbara Giudice to Read Part of the Lecture Course ‘Audiovisual Production’

From February 2nd to 28th, 2015, at the HSE Faculty of Communications, Media and Design as part of the international academic mobility development programme Barbara Giudice, Adjunct Faculty at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, will read a series of lectures on ‘Audiovisual Production’ in the ‘Media Production in Creative Industries’ master’s programme.

HSE Students Win Competition for Public Service Advertising Against Corruption

Students at the HSE School of Integrated Communications, Faculty of Communications, Media and Design won all the prizes in a public service advertising competition against corruption. The contest is run by the Moscow City department for competition policy. The HSE students’ posters were selected from 175 pieces submitted from different Russian regions and the near abroad. The prize giving ceremony was in a city government building on New Arbat on December 1

On November 20-23, the National Communication Association (NCA) organized its 100th conference in Chicago. Sergey Zverev, Oleg Kashirskikh, and Nelli Bachurina, all instructors in HSE’s School of Integrated Communications, presented papers at the conference and took part in a panel discussion as well.

HSE Becomes Night of the Arts Platform on Night of November 3-4
During Night of the Arts, guests of HSE’s festival took a stroll on Myasnitskaya Street, which was closed to automobiles specially for the event. Myasnitskaya became the location of a large stage for performances by student groups of the university. More than 50 HSE students and friends sang, danced, and read poems for guests of the celebration, and another 50 worked at the event as volunteers.
